Maplehurst Bakeries — Meadowvale Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation
IPAC was engaged to support pavement rehabilitation and site improvement work for Choice Properties at the Maplehurst Bakeries property located at 2095 Meadowvale Boulevard in Mississauga. The project focused on rehabilitating selected asphalt areas within an active industrial property environment. The work included removal of deteriorated asphalt, assessment and repair of soft or inadequate base areas, placement and compaction of granular materials, heavy-duty asphalt paving, tack coat application, pavement markings, and drainage-related catch basin improvements. Because the work was completed at an active commercial and industrial site, construction planning required phasing, temporary work-area protection, safe vehicle access, coordination with the consultant, and attention to daily site operations.
- Mobilization and site preparation
- Temporary construction fencing and work-area protection
- Asphalt milling, saw cutting, excavation, and off-site disposal
- Proof-rolling and identification of soft or unsuitable base areas
- Base and subbase repairs using Granular A / crusher run limestone
- Fine grading to promote positive drainage and reduce ponding
- Heavy-duty HL8 base course asphalt placement and compaction
- HL3 high-stability surface course asphalt placement and compaction
- Tack coat application prior to asphalt placement
- Pavement line markings, signage, symbols, and miscellaneous markings
- Sealant application along construction-limit perimeters
- Catch basin frame and grate work with adjustment rings
